Accommodation

There are a number of hotels near by, to suit all budgets.

For riders attending HONDA ADVENTURE CENTRE we would recommend The Notley Arms Inn in Monksilver, Somerset (this is where, if booking a two day course, we host the evening meal at the close of day one). Contact telephone number : 01984 656095

There are plenty of other places locally. We send out a confirmation pack once you book which will contain plenty of other options.

Facilities

At HONDA ADVENTURE CENTRE our meet and greet venue is a safe place to leave your vehicle.
Our instructors will meet you in our briefing room where you will get signed on and kitted up.
There are refreshments, briefing room and ladies & gents toilets on-site.
The accommodation mentioned above is less than a mile away from our centre.

At DAVE THORPE HONDA OFF-ROAD CENTRE we organise a pop up base at our various event locations to welcome the riders.
Refreshments are supplied and portable toilets facilities are provided.

Travel

The nearest airport is Bristol where you ca hire a car and be with us in just 1 hour and 15 minutes.

There is safe parking on-site at all our venues.

The nearest train station is Taunton and we are a 30 minute taxi drive away.

Instructors

We’re into our 8th year now and we continue to have a brilliant team of instructors.

At HONDA ADVENTURE CENTRE our Head Coach Pat Jackson has spent a lifetime dedicated to motorsport; corporate driving, motocross and now Honda adventure bikes! You’ll also meet Flash, John, Adie, and Mike. All bringing professionalism, experience and humour to ensure you have a great day with us!

At DAVE THORPE HONDA OFF-ROAD CENTRE the team is led by 3 times World 500cc Motocross Champion Dave Thorpe. He is backed up by the experienced coaching team of Nick L, Nick D and Aaron.

Included

At HONDA ADVENTURE CENTRE Courses include the use of the latest model Honda Africa Twin (Manual and DCT models available), Honda XL750 Transalp, Honda CRF300L, and Honda CL500 bikes.
Lunch, refreshments, fuel, tuition. If booking a two day course, an evening meal on the first night is included and hosted at The Notley Arms Inn.

At DAVE THORPE HONDA OFF-ROAD CENTRE experiences include the use of the latest model Honda CRF250RX competition enduro bikes, Honda CRF300L trail bikes and CRF125F fun off-road bikes (for beginner riders).

Equipment

At HONDA ADVENTURE CENTRE riders are welcome to use their own riding kit. It is only your boots which must be suitable for off-road purposes and your helmet must reach EC2205 standard or equivalent.

You can hire our adventure riding kit and protective clothing from us; helmet £10 for 2 days, jacket £10 for 2 days, off-road trousers £10 for 2 days, Motocross boots £10 for 2 days, gloves £5 for 2 days.

You can book items to hire at the time of booking.

At DAVE THORPE HONDA OFF-ROAD CENTRE hire of off-road riding kit is included in the event prices. Riders are welcome to use their own off-road riding kit if they prefer.

Restrictions

At HONDA ADVENTURE CENTRE riders must be 21 years of age or over and hold a full and valid UK Motorcycle licence.

At DAVE THORPE HONDA OFF-ROAD CENTRE riders must be 16 years of age, no licence is required.
